1. How to submit a takedown notice
Email your notice to copyright@myapp.com with the subject line “DMCA Takedown Request.” To be valid, your notice must include all of the following:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim was infringed (or a representative list, if multiple works).
- Location of the infringing material in the App — the image URL, post link or post ID, the uploader’s username, and a screenshot if possible, so we can locate it without ambiguity.
- Your contact information — full legal name, company (if any), mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A good-faith statement: “I have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.”
- An accuracy and authority statement: “I swear, under penalty of perjury, that the information in this notification is accurate and that I am the copyright owner, or am authorized to act on behalf of the owner, of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.”
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Incomplete notices may be rejected. Knowingly making a material misrepresentation may make you liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. §512(f).
2. What happens next
- We acknowledge valid notices, typically within 2 business days.
- We remove or disable access to the reported material expeditiously and notify the uploader, forwarding a copy of your notice (with your contact details included, as required by law).
- We record a copyright strike against the uploader’s account.
3. Counter-notice
If your content was removed in error, email copyright@myapp.com with your name, address, phone number, the material removed and its former location, your signature, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was a mistake or misidentification, and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or, if outside the U.S., any district in which we may be found). We may restore the content in 10–14 business days unless the complainant files a court action.
4. Repeat infringer policy
Glamorae maintains a strict repeat infringer policy:
- Strike 1: content removed, formal warning, and a required acknowledgement of our upload rules.
- Strike 2: content removed and uploading privileges suspended for 30 days.
- Strike 3: the account is permanently banned, all uploaded content is removed, and we may block future account creation associated with that person or business.
We may terminate an account immediately, without a strike sequence, for blatant or large-scale infringement. Strikes are cleared only if a notice is retracted or a counter-notice succeeds.
5. Reporting from inside the app
Any signed-in member can tap the flag icon on a community post and choose Copyright infringement. In-app reports help us act fast, but a formal DMCA notice sent to copyright@myapp.com is required for statutory takedown handling.
